Family Woes

Things have been crazy at Granny’s house. In one week, I think we ended up at the ER or walk-in clinic like 6 times. Both kids had ear infections in both ears, both had near pneumonia, Maddy and Mel had pink eye, and then when they start getting better Granny gets a bad sinus infection/head cold.  Finally, we are all feeling better.

“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”

Have a blessed week ahead.

Word Play

(No offense to the blondes out there who know and love football, I am one too.)

A guy took his blond girlfriend to her first football game.
They  had great seats right behind their team's bench.

After the game, the guy asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," the blonde replied. "Especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just  couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, at the beginning, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game,  everyone kept screaming 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!'

 I'm like, "Helloooooooooooo - it's only 25 cents!"

Have a super day!

I'm So Far Behind

Well it's been a while since I have posted. I have so many irons in the fire it's a wonder I haven't burnt myself.  I am taking every opportunity allowed to spend as much time with my family and grand kids as possible, which has meant less time on the PC.  My weekends are pretty much booked for the next year.

At the moment I am spending much of my day in my online writing group F2K, as we have just cranked up a new session. I have 71 students signed up just for my room, so that means a lot of reading and responding.

When I'm not doing that I'm busy as bee over on Peoplestring earning some extra cash watching, video's emailing, and socializing. Feel free to come join me and be my friend, it's free.

When I'm not doing that I'm running to the gym, viewing pics and video's of the kids, and working on my manuals for next term for my LIR classes.

Life is shorten than we think, so live like there is no tomorrow. Most of all have fun and enjoy those around you. Sometimes I believe we take life to seriously.

Enjoy!

Writers Quotes

`
It's time for another session of F2K. Writers helping writers. I would like to share a few of my favorite writing quotes. Writing is an opportunity to journey through lands and experiences that we would otherwise only visit in our dreams.

Writing is easy:  All you do is sit staring at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead.  ~Gene Fowler
Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.  ~William Wordsworth
Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.  ~Anton Chekhov
Write your first draft with your heart.  Re-write with your head.  ~From the movie Finding Forrester
You fail only if you stop writing. ~Ray Bradbury
Write because your heart tells you too!

May You Have A Joyful Easter

God Gave Me A Gift

God gave me a gift, the gift of life. He did not promise it would hold no strife. God gave me a gift, the gift of love. He sent His Son from Heaven above. God gave me a gift, the gift of prayer, He constantly listens, He's always there. God gave me a gift, the gift of hope. He sent His spirit who helps me to cope. God gave me a gift, the gift of choice. In His infinite love, I now rejoice. (c)1991 Deborah Seko

One Word Of Advice

If I could give you one word of advice, It would be to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. He went to Calvary and died on the cross, So that you as a sinner would not be lost. In your time of need he will always be near, He will comfort your heart and wipe away your tears. Give HIm your heart, soul, body and mind, A truer friend you will never find. (c)1993

Family Blessing

Hi everyone, I hope that todays post finds you all health and happy. The last two weeks or so I have been helping my dad through cataract surgery. As most of you may know he is 85 and lives next door to me. I love him dearly and feel blessed to have been able to have such a close relationship with him.

The blessing, however, has been two fold. Although I  am glad to have him near me and can be of some support to him for all that he has done for me in my life, it has been difficult. To watch a man that once was so vibrant, who was my tree of strength through so much of my life, slowly dwindle before my eyes into a man who has become as dependent on me, as I was on him when I was child, is heartbreaking.

I pray daily for God to continue to bless him and to give me the strength and courage to be there for him.

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

My your week ahead be a blessed on.
